BIRDMIND successfully concludes its participation at 3 Days of Design, strengthening international interest in Rice Tab

BIRDMIND’s participation in 3 Days of Design exceeded all expectations. For three days, Copenhagen became the international epicenter of design, architecture, and material innovation, bringing together professionals, brands, studios, and specifiers from around the world to discuss the future of spaces.

Within this context, BIRDMIND showcased Rice Tab as part of Material Matters Copenhagen, one of the event’s leading exhibitions dedicated to innovative materials. Hundreds of visitors stopped by the company’s space to experience the material firsthand, explore its applications, and discover how agricultural waste can be transformed into practical solutions for architecture, interior design, and contract projects.

One of the highlights of the exhibition was PAELLA, the stool designed by Ignacio Ciocchini exclusively for this edition of 3 Days of Design. The piece demonstrated the potential of Rice Tab beyond the material itself, translating it into a tangible design application where functionality, craftsmanship, and material storytelling come together. Its presentation attracted significant interest from architects, designers, and industry professionals, while also sparking valuable conversations about the role biomaterials will play in the future of design and construction.

The exhibition also marked the presentation of Rice Tab Plus, BIRDMIND’s latest material development, which incorporates mussel shell powder as a mineral additive to enhance technical performance while maintaining the circular principles that define the project.

Beyond the materials and products on display, the experience in Copenhagen confirmed a growing trend across the industry: the increasing demand for solutions capable of combining technical performance, design excellence, and sustainability. Architects, designers, manufacturers, and material specialists from different countries shared a common vision of the need to move towards new construction models based on circularity, traceability, and responsible resource use.

For BIRDMIND, participating in 3 Days of Design represents another important step in its international growth and in establishing Rice Tab as a viable material solution for contemporary architecture and interior design projects.

Once again, 3 Days of Design proved why it has become one of the most influential events in the global design industry. It is a place where design, materials, innovation, and future-thinking come together to explore how we will build and inhabit spaces in the decades ahead.

Following this experience, BIRDMIND returns home with new connections, new opportunities, and a stronger conviction that the future of construction and design will be shaped by materials capable of creating value without compromising the resources of tomorrow.
