BIRDMIND’s facilities hosted a very special event for us on May 28th. Together with the Paideia Foundation, and as part of the European Circular Challenge project, we brought together a group of professionals from sectors such as construction, architecture, interior design, retail, and product design to discuss circularity and explore ways to collaborate in building a more sustainable future for the construction industry.
The event began with a visit to our factory in Pontevedra, where we offered a close-up look at the innovative production process of RiceTab—our board made from agricultural waste such as rice husks, developed under a zero-waste and zero-water-footprint industrial model.
The day continued with a conversation in our showroom, where three key voices in sustainability shared their insights and experiences. David Camba, CEO and founder of BIRDMIND, spoke about the origins and evolution of the project. Francisco Dosil, manager of Atmos Hotel, explained how they promote a sustainable tourism model from a rural setting, focused on environmental care and responsible development. And Diego Freire, director of Zero Housing, presented this groundbreaking sustainable construction project, which applies circular principles to modular housing solutions.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for their interest and the ideas they shared. We remain convinced that the future lies in combining knowledge, creativity, and commitment. Thank you for making it possible.
