BIRDMIND’s founder and CEO, David Camba, has been recognized with the 2025 Young Entrepreneur Award, presented by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra (AJE Pontevedra). This award highlights the talent, innovation and leadership of young entrepreneurs who are transforming the business landscape in Galicia.
In the case of BIRDMIND, the recognition comes as the result of a clear vision: demonstrating that agricultural residues can become high-value materials for design and construction, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional boards.
Born from this vision, Rice Tab is the first circular board made from rice husk, combining aesthetics, technical performance and sustainability. Developed entirely in Galicia, this material reflects the company’s commitment to responsible innovation, circular economy principles and conscious design.
The project led by David Camba is the result of years of research, experimentation and passion for materiality. His trajectory demonstrates that it is possible to create with respect for the environment, bringing together craftsmanship, technology and sustainability.
The award from AJE Pontevedra reinforces this commitment and acknowledges the work of a team dedicated to driving real change in the industry starting from the source: the material itself.
From BIRDMIND, we sincerely thank AJE Pontevedra for this recognition and for their support of entrepreneurial talent.
Congratulations, David, on this well-deserved award and for inspiring us to keep dreaming of a more conscious, innovative and sustainable future.
